NASCAR Cup Series Championship odds: Betting lines updated after Michigan

The betting lines for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Championship after last weekend’s trip to Michigan International Speedway.
Notching his second victory of the season, Tyler Reddick was able to get to Victory Lane at the end of the FireKeepers Casino 400. It wasn’t without drama, as a Martin Truex Jr. wreck brought the race to overtime, but Reddick was able to keep William Byron and Ty Gibbs at bay on the final restarts.
Some of the top contenders, such as Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell, had some trouble in Michigan, while Reddick strengthened his case. Check out the full list of updated odds, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook, below.
Kyle Larson (+380)

Kyle Larson is always a favorite when it comes to Michigan. However, the Hendrick Motorsports star dealt with some criticism after losing control of his car and causing a huge wreck on Monday, which led to his P34 finish, and loss of the overall Cup Series points lead.
As we move ahead to Daytona this weekend, Larson’s troubles on superspeedways have been highly documented, as he’s never won at the track in 37 attempts in the Cup Series. He finished P11 at the Daytona 500 earlier in 2024.
Denny Hamlin (+380)

Denny Hamlin started on the pole on Sunday afternoon, but some tough luck after a spin put his performance in doubt. However, he was able to stay the course and rebound quite nicely on Monday, coming home with a P9 finish.
Hamlin’s success at Daytona is well known, and it’s easy to see why he’s a favorite at the track year-in and year-out. Amid all the uncertainty, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Hamlin back in Victory Lane on Saturday.
Christopher Bell (+400)

Christopher Bell didn’t leave Michigan in a good mood. The Joe Gibbs Racing star ended up P35 in Brooklyn, a truly disappointing afternoon for Bell at a track where he can’t buy a solid finish, it seems.
When you think of drivers to beat at Daytona, Bell doesn’t always exactly come to the forefront of your mind. However, the JGR star has been able to find his way to the front over his last couple of starts at the track, even if he’s still looking for a win in the summer event.
Tyler Reddick (+500)

Tyler Reddick is quickly becoming one of the preeminent stars in the world of NASCAR. He captured his second victory of the season at Michigan, but he could very well have two or three more at this stage in 2024.
Moving to Daytona, Reddick actually won his qualifying race earlier this February, and he’s finished as the runner-up in the Coke Zero Sugar 400 in the past. Perhaps he can make it back-to-back victories this weekend, after winning Michigan.
William Byron (+800)

William Byron has had an uneven summer after starting the 2024 campaign with a bang, but the Hendrick Motorsports star had a great afternoon in Michigan. The No. 24 wheelman came home P2 in Brooklyn.
Who could forget Byron starting the season with a bang in the Daytona 500? He’s certainly a contender to sweep the season at the track, as he’s won the Coke Zero 400 in the past, as well.

Ryan Blaney (+800)

Ryan Blaney looked like he was headed to a tremendous finish at Michigan, but some contact with his friend Chase Elliott put a damper on his afternoon coming to the checkered. The reigning champion was instead forced to settle for a P18 finish.
Aside from Hamlin, Blaney might be the most dangerous driver on superspeedway tracks, whether it be Talladega or Daytona. He’s had more success at the former, but the No. 12 will be a strong contender on Saturday.
Chase Elliott (+1100)

Chase Elliott was racing in the front on the final restart of overtime, but some contact with Ryan Blaney sent him to the middle of the pack. As it turned out, the No. 9 ended the afternoon with solid P15, and he remains P2 on the overall Cup Series points.
Elliott’s won multiple qualifying races at Daytona, but he’s yet to find Victory Lane in either the 500 or the Coke Zero 400. If that changes this weekend, and he can get his second win of 2024, the crowd will be sure to let him know their appreciation.
Joey Logano (+1600)

Joey Logano was in the news due to the Austin Dillon controversy all last week, and he looked to make good on what he felt was a wrong at Richmond with a win at Michigan. However, a flat tire ruined his afternoon, and he settled for a P33 finish.
A former Daytona 500 champion, Logano always struts his stuff when the Cup Series returns to the famed track. He had a tremendous performance in February before being wrecked in the final stage, so he’ll be out for revenge on Saturday.
Martin Truex Jr. (+1600)

Martin Truex Jr. was coming off a disappointing time at Richmond, hoping to reach Victory Lane and lock himself into the playoffs in Michigan. He was headed for a top ten, but then Truex Jr. hit the wall and brought out a controversial caution, putting a damper on his afternoon and forcing him to come home P24.
While Truex Jr. has all but clinched his spot in the playoffs, he can make it official with a win on Saturday. Barring disaster, he’ll be racing for a title regardless, but in his final season, Truex Jr. would love to go to Victory Lane at Daytona.

Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell are still among the favorites, but they’ll have to shape up before the playoffs, with only two races remaining until the results mean more than ever.
