The NASCAR Cup Series will continue the Round of 16 in New York this weekend in what should be an exhilarating event at Watkins Glen, and betting lines have been released for the entire field to find Victory Lane.

Last season, William Byron captured the win in one of the final races of the regular season, but the stakes are higher than ever this season, with Watkins Glen moving into the playoffs. Byron was followed by Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell to round out the podium in 2023, and Hamlin could really use a finish like that this time around after his performance in Atlanta.

Road course racing can be unpredictable, and that’s not going to bode well for some of the wheelmen looking to advance past the Round of 16. Nevertheless, DraftKings Sportsbook has provided the odds for this weekend’s Go Bowling at The Glen event. Check out where your favorite driver slots in below.

Kyle Larson (+600)

Kyle Larson has dug himself into a hole with his performance over the weekend in Atlanta. The Hendrick Motorsports superstar was caught up in an accident, and it’s a testament to his tremendous regular season that he’s not facing elimination after his P37 finish.

While Larson came home P26 last season at Watkins Glen, he’s a good bet to get back on track in New York. He’s won this race two of the last three seasons, and he has five top tens over his last 9 trips to the road course.

William Byron (+650)

William Byron was able to secure a top ten in Atlanta, finishing P9 on the afternoon. That’s a solid way to start the postseason for Byron, who’s hoping to elevate to the Championship Four once again this season.

Overall, Watkins Glen has been a mixed bag for Byron, but 2023 was an awesome trip to New York for the Hendrick star, as Byron won the race. He’ll be looking to go back-to-back in the No. 24 this time around.

Shane Van Gisbergen (+700)

Shane Van Gisbergen is ready to try his hand at Watkins Glen in the Cup Series. After his performance in the Chicago Street Race ended in disappointment due to a wreck at the hands of Chase Briscoe, the wheelman affectionately known as “SVG” will be looking to come home with a win in New York.

While he’s found NASCAR’s other track types more challenging, Van Gisbergen has excelled on the road courses, in both the Cup Series and Xfinity Series. A victory for the New Zealanders would be a tough blow for some of the playoff competitors, but fans at Watkins Glen would love to see SVG pull out another dub.

Tyler Reddick (+900)

After securing the regular season title last weekend at Darlington, Tyler Reddick continued to prove why he’s one of the elite drivers in NASCAR in Atlanta. The 23XI Racing wheelman came home P6 in Georgia, starting the postseason off with a solid performance.

Moving ahead to Watkins Glen, Reddick has always fared very well at the road course, never falling below the top ten in three starts. Last season, Reddick finished P8 in New York, and he’ll be hoping to do better than that in 2024.

Chase Elliott (+900)

It’s always special for Chase Elliott to return to his home track, but he wasn’t able to get back to Victory Lane in front of a raucous crowd on Sunday. Still, the Hendrick Motorsports star will leave Georgia with his head held high, securing a P8 finish to start the playoffs.

Quite simply, Watkins Glen has been one of Elliott’s favorite tracks throughout his NASCAR career. He’s won at the track twice, and he’s only finished below P13 once in seven attempts — the only bad thing is it came last season, when Elliott finished P32 in 2023.

A.J. Allmendinger (+1000)

In addition to Shane Van Gisbergen getting behind the wheel at Watkins Glen on Sunday, A.J. Allmendinger will also try his hand at winning in the Cup Series once again. He’s always fared well at the track, getting to Victory Lane in 2014, and finishing P4 last season.

Before SVG arrived in NASCAR, it was Allmendinger who put fear into his fellow competitors every time he got behind the wheel on a road course. Perhaps the Cup Series needs a reminder, and Allmendinger will be hoping to deliver one this weekend in New York.

Christopher Bell (+1100)

Christopher Bell continues to showcase his immense ability at tracks like Atlanta. The Joe Gibbs Racing star put himself squarely in the mix, continuing to show why he’s a true contender for the title with a P4 finish on Sunday.

While Bell has yet to break through to Victory Lane at Watkins Glen, he’s been a threat to win each time he’s raced in New York. The JGR wheelman has three top tens in three attempts, and he finished P3 at Watkins Glen last season.

Ty Gibbs (+1200)

Ty Gibbs has developed into an awesome all-around wheelman, becoming a threat to win on a myriad of different tracks. Specifically, he’s been tremendous on road courses, including his trip to Watkins Glen in 2023, as the young driver finished P5 last season.

At the moment, Gibbs is in a tough position, as he’s going to need to continue to be consistent if he’s going to advance to the Round of 12. He certainly could find himself in Victory Lane on Sunday, and that would lock himself into the next round, doubling as his first win of his Cup Series career.
