Things are getting tricky this weekend as the NASCAR Cup Series heads to Pocono Raceway for a three-turn speedfest. Back to a high-speed, somewhat traditional, intermediate track. Pocono has its quirks and charms, and a few teams have brought special paint schemes.

Not a lot of special paint schemes this week. But there are still great paint schemes to look at and talk about heading into Pocono. This race is important for NASCAR and the attendance since it was moved to a one-date track, has been phenomenal.

This year should be another packed crowd at Pocono. The drivers we saw find speed at Charlotte, Nashville, and Michigan will likely be major factors this week. Could it be one of these eight drivers below?

Justin Haley No. 7 Dorman Chevy

A bit of a difficult season for Justin Haley in 2025. Rodney Childers was his crew chief to start the year until Spire and Childers parted ways back in April. A good run in this Dorman No. 7 could go a long way for this group.

Orange and black race cars are almost all great. This is a solid design and should be visible on the track. 8/10.

Ryan Blaney No. 12 Wabash Ford

Wabash has had great designs in the past. This isn’t my favorite, but I think it is an improvement on the last couple of seasons. The yellow highlights really tie it all together for me. Goes well with the Goodyear Eagles.

Ryan Blaney is hoping to get another Pocono win this weekend. This is a track that has meant a lot to him in his career. We know Team Penske can bring a winning car to this track, will it be the 12? 8/10.

Chris Buescher No. 17 Nexletol Ford

Medicine paint schemes are not usually my cup of tea. It is just very hard to make the name of the product work on a race car. I do like the colorful scheme of Nexletol because it fits into that RFK Racing design so well.

Chris Buescher needs a big breakthrough. He had a lot of speed at Michigan. Will we see that speed return this NASCAR weekend at the Tricky Triangle?

Christopher Bell No. 20 Rheem Toyota

Three wins in the first four races of the season, Christopher Bell is dying to get back to victory lane. He has since finished P2 three times. So close to that fourth win (except last week, he couldn’t even see SVG at the end).

Bell has the gold 20 on his car this week. I like this Rheem variation. Clean, uses the door space. At least they put the little slogan down the fender space. It will look good in victory lane. 8.5/10.

Todd Gilliland No. 34 Grillo’s Pickles Ford

Pickle car! Everyone loves the pickle car, folks. Todd Gilliland and Grillo’s, the next great NASCAR driver-sponsor pairing? I hope so.

A green race car feels rare. Isn’t it fun what these Front Row cars have done this season? Contingency sponsors are back, and seeing Aaron’s on a race car itches my nostalgia just right. 8.5/10.

Cody Ware No. 51 Parts Plus Ford

Parts Plus and Costa Oil are coming together on this week’s No. 51 car. Cody Ware is doing his best in this car, but the results just haven’t been there. The cars have looked fantastic, though.

This is a clean design and fits the Rick Ware Racing style perfectly. We’re used to the Parts Plus colors on these cars, but the addition of the white and gold Costa design really does something for this. Plus, gold rims! 8/10.

Ryan Preece No. 60 Kroger/Scott 1000 Ford

Ryan Preece is so close to winning a race. He has been running great in qualifying as RFK Racing gets these Fords faster each week. Preece even ran great at Mexico City on the road course, something he’s not known for.

Pocono would be a great place for Ryan Preece to win. It is up close to his old stomping grounds in the northeast, and I’m sure the NASCAR fans there would love to see him get his first career win at the Triangle. 7.5/10.

Daniel Suárez No. 99 Very Good Ventures Chevy

Unicorn car! Daniel Suárez has a new sponsor this weekend and a fun blue paint scheme to go with it.

Coming off of the high of racing in the highest levels of NASCAR in his home country, Suárez is ready to get back to work. He has to show that he is worthy of a contract extension. Pocono would be a great place to start. 7.5/10.
