The NASCAR Cup Series is returning to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Quaker State 400 and there are a few special paint schemes. It is the first week of the playoffs and that means teams are bringing out some of their best designs.

Last time the NASCAR Cup Series was in Atlanta, it was a wild three-wide finish in which Daniel Suárez ended up edging out the win over Kyle Busch and Ryan Blaney.

There are a few fan favorites left out of the NASCAR Playoffs. But we are going to see all of them attempt to play spoiler in the next ten weeks. Let’s get into the paint schemes and grade each one on a scale of 1-10.

Josh Berry No. 4 Decisely Insurance Ford

While Josh Berry didn’t make the NASCAR Playoffs, he has really come into his own this season. This purple race car is one of my favorite looks from this season, too.

Berry might not be racing for a championship, but he’s still racing for Rookie of the Year with Carson Hocevar. Will he be able to pull that off? 8/10 (I love purple race cars).

Chase Elliott No. 9 NAPA Children’s Chevy

This is one of the best things that NAPA does every season with Chase Elliott. Having a child design the paint scheme and put it out there on the track.

This year, the No. 9 NAPA Children’s Chevy looks pretty speedy. That jet on the side fits right into the NASCAR atmosphere. I’m sure Atlanta will have a flyover of some kind. 10/10 design from Gavyn Giansiracusa.

Ryan Blaney No. 12 Dent Wizard Ford

Dent Wizard is the primary sponsor on the No. 12 this week. Ryan Blaney is on a mission to win the first back-to-back championship since Jimmie Johnson won five in a row.

This is a great looking car every season. Dent Wizard just gets it. 9/10.

Martin Truex Jr. No. 19 Auto-Owners Insurance Toyota

Here is a special “white out” paint scheme from Auto-Owner’s Insurance. Martin Truex Jr. snuck into the playoffs after wrecking on Lap 3 of the Southern 500.

Truex J.r is hoping that he can turn his season around. In the second half of the regular season, he has been, quite frankly, bad. Great car, though. 8.5/10.

Joey Logano No. 22 AutoTrader Ford

This is another one of those paint schemes I look forward to. Blue and orange, orange and blue – it’s going to look good almost every single time.

Joey Logano is hoping to have a big postseason performance. While he won at Nashville, Logano has not had the kind of season he usually expects from himself. 8/10.

John Hunter Nemechek No. 42 Olipop Toyota

There is something about this paint scheme that is just pleasing to the eye. Olipop is hopping on for their first primary paint scheme and it’s going to be fun to see how this car performs.

John Hunter Nemechek has had flashes this season. He’s hoping one of these flashes turns into a flame sooner rather than later. Legacy Motor Club, lacking in performance, but great paint schemes all season. 9/10.

Tyler Reddick No. 45 Jordan Brand Toyota

Could this be the best batch of paint schemes all season? Jordan Brand is back with the Talladega paint scheme and hoping to see it return to Victory Lane with Tyler Reddick.

Reddick won the regular season championship. Now he is hoping to use that momentum and win the whole dang thing in Phoenix. 9.5/10.

Daniel Suárez No. 99 Quaker State Chevy

The reigning Atlanta winner is back with Quaker State and hoping that he can get another thrilling victory. I’m sure Daniel Suárez would like to win by more than 0.003 seconds this time around.

That three-wide finish was once in a lifetime. What other thrills does Atlanta have in store for NASCAR fans this weekend? 9/10.
