The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series FireKeepers Casino 400 took place at Michigan International Speedway, and the playoff standings and Cup points have been updated. With this being the 15th Cup Series race of the season, a few drivers outside the top 16 of the playoffs standings are running out of time.

Denny Hamlin won the Michigan race, and there are now 11 races remaining before the regular season ends. Here’s a look at the updated playoff standings and Cup points after Sunday’s race at Michigan International Speedway.

Updated NASCAR playoff standings after the Michigan race

Hamlin jumped to second place in the playoffs standings after his win at Michigan. Kyle Larson remains on top of the playoff standings with his three wins, and Christopher Bell is right behind Larson as he also has three victories.

The bottom of the playoff standings is getting interesting as Ryan Preece and Kyle Busch are tied for the final spot. Can Busch stop his non-winning streak and clinch a playoff spot in one of the final 11 races of the regular season?

Updated Cup points after the Michigan race

William Byron finished outside of the top 20 at Michigan, leading to Larson gaining some ground on him for the top spot in Cup points. They are the only two drivers that have over 500 points this year.

Do not count out Hamlin, who is looking to win his first regular-season title of his career. Hamlin is only 82 points behind the leader and could go on a run if he doesn’t have any issues with his No. 11 car.
