NASCAR Truck Series Championship 4 solidified after Martinsville elimination race

Four drivers have been eliminated, and we now have our NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship 4. Martinsville once again delivered on the playoff drama. 2nd to 5th place were separated by only 1 point. A tiebreaker decided the final spot for Phoenix.
The two biggest upsets in the NASCAR Truck Series Playoffs have to be the Front Row drivers. Chandler Smith was cut from the Round of 10 after a horrible start to the postseason. With Layne Riggs falling short of making Phoenix tonight, FRM didn’t live up to expectations.
Early trouble for Daniel Hemric and Rajah Caruth doomed them early tonight. Grant Enfinger was in a must-win position and just couldn’t meet the challenge. So, we now have our NASCAR Truck Series Championship 4.
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Championship 4:
1. Corey Heim – Tricon Garage
2. Tyler Ankrum – McAnally-Hilgemann Racing
3. Ty Majeski – ThorSport Racing
4. Kaden Honeycutt – Halmar Friesen Racing
Two Toyotas, a Chevy, and a Ford. A really solid mix of manufacturers and teams in the NASCAR Truck Series Championship 4. This is going to be a tall task for everyone not named Corey Heim. He has 11 wins on the year and has shown that even when he goes largely unnoticed in these races, he’s still faster than everyone else.
In my mind, Layne Riggs was the top challenger to Corey Heim. Now, it appears that Heim could just run away with the championship. Then again, Ty Majeski being in the mix tells me that this NASCAR championship isn’t decided just yet.

So far this season, Majeski is winless. If we have learned anything the last two seasons is that you can’t predict anything in the Truck Series championship. Heim knows that all too well.
NASCAR Truck Series Championship 4 headed to Phoenix
One race separates Corey Heim, Tyler Ankrum, Ty Majeski, and Kaden Honeycutt from a NASCAR championship. Phoenix is a standard track. You aren’t going to get a ton of passing in the race. But there is always a chance for chaos and incidents on the track.
This year, Heim doesn’t really have a rival. Well, besides Riggs. And Riggs isn’t going to do what Carson Hocevar did in 2023, especially since he is out of the Championship 4. While the two drivers have had their issues, I do not think Riggs would risk even making it look like he might be interfering with Heim at Phoenix.
A huge congrats has to go to Honeycutt. He stepped into that tuck for Stewart Friesen and has absolutely delivered. Can you imagine if he lands the championship for Halmar Friesen? It would be one of the great underdog stories of the sport…but maybe this year isn’t the best time for it. If Heim doesn’t win it, NASCAR fans are going to revolt.
