The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race is a bit off the rails right now. The opening stage was filled with caution flags and wrecks. Corey Heim coasted to the stage win and added another playoff point to his total.

There is a lot going on right now in the New Hampshire race. This is the first time the truckers have been at the Magic Mile in eight years. They have made it a memorable race so far.

Four total cautions in the first 51 laps resulted in the stage ending under a yellow flag. This race got off to a bad start with a wreck on the opening lap. Then on Lap 34, we had another incident. Lap 44 gave us our third caution. Then, Lap 51 was the final straw as Derek White wrecked and dumped fluid all over the track.

Here is the first wreck. A mess on the opening lap.

Daniel Hemric found himself in trouble soon after that first wreck. These NASCAR Truck Series drivers were all over the place. Lapped traffic was moving very slowly compared to the leaders. Rajah Caruth barely avoided this one.

Then Christian Eckes was in trouble. This NASCAR Truck Series race keeps throwing us curveballs.

All of the chaos and all of the wrecked trucks ended with a Corey Heim win. The NASCAR Truck Series is putting on quite the show for the New Hampshire crowd. Stage 2 should be calmer. That is, if these drivers have learned anything from these mistakes.

Meanwhile, we have playoff implications playing out all throughout the field. This race is going to test drivers as the field flips and the top trucks have to drive back through the field.

NASCAR Truck Series Playoffs rage on at Loudon

Today’s race for Chandler Smith is do-or-die. He is going to have to win this race today if he wants to move on and have a chance at winning the 2025 championship. Daniel Hemric should be fine, but his truck is damaged.

Corey Heim is going to do whatever he can to block Smith from winning. Right now, it is clear that Heim and the two Front Row drivers will be the champions this year. Heim is still the heavy favorite, but that can change in the NASCAR Truck Series Playoffs.

A lot of cautions and wrecks to start the race today. Let’s see if the Truck Series drivers can keep all the wheels going straight and avoid more incidents as the race goes on.
