Natalie Decker to make NASCAR Xfinity return at Daytona after giving birth to baby boy
Natalie Decker will make her NASCAR Xfinity Series return in the Aug. 22 race at Daytona International Speedway. Decker will drive the No. 92 Chevrolet for DGM Racing, the race team announced Wednesday.
It will be Decker’s first Xfinity start since last May at Charlotte Motor Speedway, and first since giving birth to her first child in February of this year. Decker’s return to racing makes a little history; she can become the second woman to race in NASCAR after giving birth, joining Shawna Robinson, if she can lock into the field.
Natalie Decker ready to make NASCAR return
Decker, 28, has competed in 12 Xfinity races, finishing a career best 18th in the 2024 season opener at Daytona in which she led seven laps. She also has 32 Truck Series starts under her belt, her best finish coming in 2020 at Daytona (5th).
Decker and her husband Derek Lemke welcomed their son Levi into the world Feb. 5, 2025. Now just over six months later, she’s ready to get back inside a racecar.

“February 5th 2025 was the best day of my life and also the worst day of my life,” Decker wrote on X after giving birth. “Giving birth was so beautiful but having your baby taken away from you minutes after to get rushed to the NICU was the most painful thing I have ever experienced.
“It was the longest 3 days of my life watching my little boy fight to get stronger in the NICU. Our Family of 3 are healthy and have been home now for 3 days, God is so good!! We are blessed with the best gift and I couldn’t be in a happier place.”
