On March 29, No. 2 seed <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/marquette-golden-eagles/">Marquette</a> and No. 11 seed <a href="https://www.on3.com/teams/nc-state-wolfpack/">NC State</a> will square off in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. It’s Marquette’s first appearance in the tournament’s second weekend since 2013. The Wolfpack last reach the Sweet Sixteen in the 2014-15 season under head coach Mark Gottfried.



NC State has earned its spot. Since ending the regular season on a four-game losing streak, the Wolfpack have won seven games in a row, most recently defeating a pesky <a href="https://www.on3.com/college/oakland-golden-grizzlies/">Oakland</a> team that downed No. 3 seed Kentucky earlier this week.



NC State isn’t the only team fighting for respect. After Marquette lost All-American point guard <a href="https://www.on3.com/db/tyler-kolek-160203/">Tyler Kolek</a> to injury for over three weeks, fans around the country began to question the team’s postseason potential. With Kolek back at their side, the Golden Eagles are cruising through the Big Dance.

Further, the site listed the money line for Marquette at -350 while NC State sits at +270. The point total over/under currently sits at 150.5.



NC State’s offense has ramped up lately, averaging 81.6 points in the last five games. Marquette trails closely behind, averaging 78.3 points per contest. Both teams boast four player who average double-digit point totals.
