The NFL is closing out the first month of the season in Week 4. However, the league looked ahead to February tonight with their announcement for the halftime performer at Super Bowl LX.

At halftime of Sunday Night Football between the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys, Bad Bunny was announced as the halftime show, sponsored by Apple Music, for Super Bowl LX on February 8th. He’ll take stage on the field in Santa Clara come Super Bowl Sunday’s kickoff at Levi’s Stadium.

“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself,” Bad Bunny said in a statement per the NFL. “It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown… this is for my people, my culture, and our history. Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL.”

Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, the 31-year-old superstar out of Puerto Rico, teased the news earlier this evening on social media. He is set to embark on an eight-month, 22-stop world tour beginning in November through the middle of next year in July of 2026, but hinted that he was going to have one date coming up in the United States – with that stop now know as it’ll be at Super Bowl LX.

“I’ve been thinking about it these days, and after discussing it with my team, I think I’ll do just one date in the United States,” he tweeted tonight, with a translation via Grok on X.

Bad Bunny has become one of the biggest musicians in the world, with him performing latin music and reggaeton. That has led to millions of streams across multiple music platforms, as well as three wins at the Grammys in the United States on top of a dozen more at the Grammys in Latin America. That spotlight has now extended his resumé to film and fashion as well.

This is always one of the biggest announcements of the year leading up to the Super Bowl in February. The performers of the halftime show have continued to be among the most notable names in music, with recent names like Kendrick Lamar (LIX), Usher (LVIII), Rihanna (LVII), and The Weeknd (LV) all performing at the event since 2021.

It’s an annual question of which artist will earn the honor to be the halftime show for one of the most-watched sporting events of the year. That answer for Super Bowl LX is now officially going to be Bad Bunny, with four months of season left until he’ll perform in the championship game that’ll be in Northern California next year.
