Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was angry with the NFL officials for missing a penalty against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night. During the third quarter of the contest, Rodgers got the Packers to jump offsides, but officials never called the penalty.

After the play, Rodgers threw his arms up and asked officials why a penalty was not called. This was the second time the four-time NFL MVP got emotional during the game, as the first happened earlier in the game when a Packers defender broke up a pass intended for DK Metcalf that would have led to a touchdown.

Sunday night was special for Aaron Rodgers because it was his first time facing the Packers. He was a member of Green Bay from 2005 to 2022 and led the team to a Super Bowl title during the 2010 season.

Because of Rodgers’ history in Green Bay, the Packers players and coaches had nothing but great things to say about him. “He looks like he can still do anything. What is surprising for such an old man is he is still moving around pretty good,” Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said ahead of the game, per Steelers.com. “You see it in multiple games. The arm strength is still plenty there. You especially saw it on the Hail Mary (against the Bengals). There aren’t many guys that can throw 70 yards in the air.”

Packers have a lot of Love for Aaron Rodgers

Packers quarterback Jordan Love was Rodgers’ teammate for three seasons and enjoyed his time with him. “Aaron was great. Being in the quarterback room, you want to have a great relationship with everybody in the room. Coming into it, I never knew what to expect, but Aaron was great to me all three years,” Love said.

“You never know how it’s going to go. I didn’t know what to expect coming into it. Being a first-round pick. Having ARod there. There’s a lot of question marks. Just being around ARod, being in the quarterback room, those guys welcomed me in with open arms, and they were great.”

When the game was all said and done, the Packers took down Rodgers and the Steelers 35-25. Rodgers completed 24-of-36 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns in the loss.
