NFLPA team report card reveals Dallas Cowboys rank 10th

The Dallas Cowboys placed 10th in the 2025 NFLPA Team Report Cards released Wednesday, “calculated based on player responses to a series of survey rating questions in 11 categories.”
Dallas takes a jump inside the top 10 after finishing 12th last year. Players were asked to give a letter grade for the 11 categories: Treatment of families, nutritionist/dietician, food/cafeteria, locker room, training room, training staff, weight room, strength coaches, team travel, head coach and club owner. The Cowboys earned an A- or better in treatment of families, locker room, weight room and head coach.
“Their facilities, including the locker room and weight room, are top-tier, and they consistently rank among the best in how the organization treats players’ families,” the report read. “When the players were asked what the team is currently doing best, the most consistent answer was the leadership of head coach Mike McCarthy and the culture he fostered.”
The Cowboys mutually parted ways with McCarthy last month after failing to reach an agreement on a new contract. McCarthy went 49-35 in Dallas, leading them to three playoff appearances and two NFC East titles.

Dallas Cowboys earn high marks in several categories
As for improvement, players feel the training room and training staff need an overhaul. They ranked 27th and 30th, respectively.
“Players report that the training room is understaffed, particularly an insufficient number of physical therapists,” the report read. “They also feel that the training room lacks certain modalities found in most other NFL training rooms.”
Last offseason, team owner Jerry Jones said the Cowboys were going “all-in” on the 2024 season. The 2025 plan is to be “selectively aggressive,” according to executive vice president Stephen Jones. In terms of ownership being committed to building a competitive team, the Cowboys ranked 25th.
Dallas last appeared in the NFC Championship Game in January 1996.
