Packers QB Jordan Love gets engaged to girlfriend in Italy

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love will be a married man soon. On Sunday, Love went to Instagram to reveal he’s engaged to his girlfriend Ronika Stone. The couple got engaged in Italy as Love got down on one knee outside of Castello di Celsa, a castle located in Tuscany.
“First step to forever,” Love wrote while posting a series of photos of the engagement. Love also revealed that he worked with Martina Udicova, a top personal planner in Itay, as well as a boutique travel company, Lilacs & Chai, to pull off the surprise engagement. Stone played college volleyball for the Oregon Ducks and now plays for the professional team San Diego Mojo. It’s not clear how the couple got together, but Love went public with the relationship in 2021, according to the New York Post.
Love’s engagement to Stone comes after the Packers held their mandatory minicamp earlier this month. The team has some time off before they report to training camp in July. After having a successful 2023 season, Love knows he needs to do more in his second season as the starting QB.
“We know going into this year teams are going to have a better feel of what we do, what we did good,” Love said this offseason, per ESPN. “That’s their job — to try to figure out how to stop that. I think that’s the fun part about the NFL.

“At the end of the day, we’ve got a very good coaching staff that’s going to put us in the best position, and we’ll also be able to adjust to what defenses might be doing and taking away from us, and we’ll learn on the fly.”
Will the Packers sign Jordan Love to a new contract?
Love finished the 2023 season with 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns and a passer rating of 96.1. Last year, Love signed a one-year contract extension, meaning he will be a free agent if the Packers don’t sign him to another deal before next offseason. Jeremy Fowler of ESPN recenyly said the Packers want to sign Love to a new contract before this fall.
“So, they’re going to try to shake something out,” Fowler said. “The Packers would like to get a long-term deal done with Love before training camp. That’s their goal. A little bit of pressure on the Packers after all those years of problems and fiascos with Aaron Rodgers. They would like a clean process here just to get this done with Jordan Love.”
