Parker Kligerman reacts to Daytona disqualification, future appeal to NASCAR

Last night, Parker Kligerman was high on the mountain of victory. Then postrace inspection took all of that away from him. Kligerman’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series win at Daytona was taken away after his truck was disqualified for missing ride height postrace.
Henderson Motorsports will appeal the decision from NASCAR. Until then, we likely won’t hear much from the team or from Parker Kligerman.
However, Kligerman put out a short message earlier today. He is focused on the appeal and taking in the moment for what it was before the DQ.
“Biggest win of my life,” Kligerman posted to X/Twitter. “Thank you all for the wonderful messages. Over 700 texts. I will not be commenting any further until we are able to present what I believe is a very, very valid case.
“Until then, I’m fully focused on my job with [The CW Sports] and [NASCAR Xfinity Series] because the drivers and teams deserve the full focus on the massive stage ahead of them.”
Last night, Parker Kligerman put on a great race. Overall, the Truck Series field as a whole was solid. It was not the wreck-filled race it was in 2024. Ending under caution on the last lap, Kligerman was just ahead of Corey Heim for the win.
Seeing his joy and elation after the win was fantastic. Kligerman clearly loves racing and loves the sport of NASCAR. Coming off of his retirement from full-time racing, this win was major. Barring a successful appeal he is going to go down into the record books with a DQ and now a W.

Parker Kligerman disqualified after inspection at Daytona
How does Parker Kligerman always find a way to lose these races? This time, his Henderson Motorsports No. 75 truck was too low in the rear. So, NASCAR had no choice but to issue the disqualification.
I’m not sure how you can put this into perspective. Losing races late by slipping in speedy dry or just coming off the track on a road course. How about his loss at the Roval last year due to when the caution light came on? Now this. It’s enough to drive someone mad.
After the initial finish to the race, Parker Kligerman was on Cloud 9. He was elated. That has all come crashing down as NASCAR issues its ruling against the 75 truck.
These are those moments in sports you wish didn’t have to happen, but they do. The rules are the rules and are there for a reason. If that truck didn’t meet height requirements, then it isn’t legal. Corey Heim starts off 2025 with a win, though.
