Patrick Mahomes: People 'don't even realize' how much wife Brittany does

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is giving high praise to his wife Brittany Mahomes. While appearing on the podcast Impaulsive With Logan Paul, Patrick Mahomes said he thinks fans “don’t even realize” how much she does when it comes to taking care of “day-to-day” stuff in their home so football can be his primary focus.
“And focus on my craft and everything like that, and just being a Hall of Fame mom and a Hall of Fame wife,” he said, per Yahoo Sports. “It makes it a lot easier. … When you get to come home and your best friend’s there and you can just hang out, it makes you want to be there all the time. She pushes me to be great, and she’s done a lot of great things herself.”
The couple got married in March 2022 after dating since they were teenagers. Patrick and Brittany Mahomes share two children. 2024 has been a good year for the Mahomes family as Patrick helped the Chiefs win the Super Bowl in February and Brittany made the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.

The Mahomes family also welcomed a new friend. With Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce dating Taylor Swift, Patrick and Brittany got to know the music superstar over the last year.

“I’ve met a lot of famous people now in my life,” Patrick Mahomes said about Swift in an interview with Time magazine. “Taylor’s probably the most down-to-earth person that’s been on that stage for that long.” Swift and Brittany are now tight. “She’s never not working,” says Mahomes. “Even when she’s taking her downtime, she’s working on something. Shooting a music video or singing a song or writing a song. You can see it by how she talks. Even when she’s talking about football, when she’s learning it, you can see her business mind putting it together. It’s almost like she’s trying to become a coach. ‘Why can’t you try this, this, and this?’ She’s asking the right questions.”
Mahomes also talked about the Chiefs getting added attention because of Swift. “We just embraced it,” he said. “We like having that visibility. At the end of the day, football has always been this bruising sport. We want to make it fun, where kids grow up and play football and show their personality and be who they are. This year really magnified that.”
