Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel reacts to Stefon Diggs' viral party video

New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel has broken his silence on Stefon Diggs‘ appearance in a viral video over the weekend. While speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Vrabel was asked about the video that features Diggs on a boat with several women and a bag filled with what appeared to be pink powder.
“It’s something that we’re aware of,” Mike Vrabel said, per Pro Football Talk. “Obviously, we want to make great decisions on and off the field. . . . Any conversations that I’ve had with Stefon will remain between him and I and the club.”
Vrabel also said that the veteran wide receiver was not present for Wednesday’s volunteer OTA session, but he did attend a previous workout. Diggs signed a three-year, $69 million contract with the Patriots in March after spending the 2024 season with the Houston Texans.
Mike Vrabel says Stefon Diggs is a ‘competitive’ and ‘confident’ receiver
The offseason has been an interesting one for Diggs. Along with signing with the Patriots and being in a viral video, the 31-year-old has been spotted with hip-hop star Cardi B at different events. It was reported that Cardi B was on the boat with Diggs this past weekend.

The Patriots are hoping that Stefon Diggs can be a top target for quarterback Drake Maye. In 144 career regular season games with 136 starts, Diggs has caught 875 passes for 10,491 yards and 70 touchdowns. In 2024, Diggs caught 47 passes for 496 yards and three touchdowns in eight games. He missed half of the season due to a knee injury.
“Just trying to make sure we’re supporting Drake and supporting the football team,” Vrabel said of signing Diggs during an appearance on the Green Light with Chris Long podcast, per NFL.com. “This is a highly competitive, confident receiver that has produced throughout his career in multiple ways. Play style, he’s got a play strength to him that you see. He can play physical, route craft, good at the catch point, good in the red zone. There’s a play style to him that I’ve always appreciated and that we want to continue to enhance and make sure that he’s doing things to help us.
“His conversation, demeanor, his attitude and his presence have been great through our conversations. Hopefully, we can continue to add good players.”
