New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs broke his silence about his appearance in a viral party video on a boat with three women. While speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Diggs said he spoke to Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel about the incident.

“I want to be as candid with you as possible, but I kind of have a thing where I don’t talk about my personal life with people I don’t know personally,” Stefon Diggs said, per Mike Reiss of ESPN. “…I had a conversation with [Mike] Vrabel obviously and I’ll echo everything he said, hoping everybody is making good decisions. And I had a conversation with people in the building as well. So everything else is everything else. The particulars are all internal.”

The video also showed Diggs having a bag of what appeared to be a pink substance. When asked about what was in the bag, Diggs said, “Obviously it’s a conversation that’s happening internal, which I can’t have too much of a conversation about it. I’ve been in this league 10 years; you can format your question many different ways, I’m obviously going to answer it the same way.”

Mike Vrabel shares health update on Stefon Diggs

Shortly after the video made its way on the internet, Vrabel shared his thoughts on Diggs appearing in it. “It’s something that we’re aware of,” Mike Vrabel said. “Obviously, we want to make great decisions on and off the field. . . . Any conversations that I’ve had with Stefon will remain between him and I and the club.”

Stefon Diggs signed with the Patriots this offseason, and his contract is worth $63.5 million for three years. Along with joining a new team, Diggs has been out and about with hip-hop star Cardi B. The two appear to be dating and Cardi B was on the boat with Diggs when the video was filmed.

In 2024, Diggs was with the Houston Texans. The 31-year-old played in just eight games because he tore his ACL in October. On Monday, Vrabel gave an injury update on Diggs and said he liked what he had seen from him.

“He’s trying to figure out where everything is and what his role is and making sure that as we add those situations—the third down, the no-huddle and red zone—that he’s staying up on it, working hard in his rehab,” said Vrabel, per Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network. “Certain drills he can be out there and there’s certain drills that he won’t be, but I think he’s engaged and I like his energy.”
