Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Josh Sills indicted on rape, kidnapping charges week before Super Bowl

Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Josh Sills has been indicted on rape and kidnapping charges, per TMZ Sports.
Of courses, this comes after the franchise booked their trip to the Super Bowl by virtue of defeating the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.
“Eagles offensive lineman Josh Sills has been indicted on rape and kidnapping charges just 10 days before Philadelphia is slated to play the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII,” wrote TMZ Sports. “According to prosecutors in Ohio, the charges stem from an incident that happened in Guernsey Coutny back on Dec. 5, 2019.”
According to officials per TMZ Sports, Sills “engaged in sexual activity that was not consensual and held a victim against her will.”
“Prosecutors say the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation into the case,” added TMZ Sports. “A grand jury eventually indicted Sills on one felony count of rape and one felony count of kidnapping this week.”

The 25-year-old offensive lineman is slated to appear in court for the matter on February 16, five days after the Super Bowl, per TMZ Sports.
Josh Sills played his college football at West Virginia and Oklahoma State. As TMZ Sports mentioned, Sills was undrafted during the 2022 NFL Draft, and joined the Eagles afterwards.
During the 2022 seasons, Sills appeared in just one game, only playing sporadic snaps for the Eagles back in October. The franchise has yet to publicly comment on the matter.
