Pittsburgh Steelers release Friday injury report ahead of Week 5 matchup with Buffalo Bills

The Pittsburgh Steelers released the final injury report ahead of Sunday’s contest with the Buffalo Bills and there’s good news: Defensive stars Minkah Fitzpatrick and Cameron Heyward were both full participants on Friday in practice and are expected to play. Neither carries an injury designation into the weekend.
Fitzpatrick has been recovering from a knee injury (after just getting back from a concussion) and Heyward is working back from a pair of injuries — one to his ankle and the other his elbow. The Steelers defense can’t afford too many games without Fitzpatrick or Heyward on the field while they await T.J. Watt’s return from injury, so their availability on Sunday is a boon.
Elsewhere in the Steelers secondary, though, there are problems abound. Cornerback Cameron Sutton and safety Terrell Edmunds are both questionable. Sutton was a limited participant on Friday with a groin/hamstring injury, as was Edmunds, who is recovering from a concussion.

Cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon has already been ruled out with a hamstring injury. He did not practice on Friday.
On offense, wide receiver Diontae Johnson practiced fully and should be good to go on Sunday.
Notably for the Bills, safety Jordan Poyer and tight end Dawson Knox have both been ruled out. Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie and defensive tackles Ed Oliver and Jordan Phillips are all questionable.

Sunday’s game also marks the end of a historic streak for the Steelers, as they are 14-point underdogs to the Bills. For more than 50 years, Pittsburgh had never been a 14-point underdog or greater.
