Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Miami Dolphins: Inactives for Week 15 MNF matchup
The Pittsburgh Steelers have released their list of inactives for the Week 15 Monday Night Football game against the Miami Dolphins. Running back Jaylen Warren, questionable with an illness, is active.
Warren, the fourth-year tailback, is an important part of Pittsburgh’s offense. He has rushed for 652 yards and four touchdowns on 4.1 yards per carry. Warren has added 30 receptions for 277 yards and two scores.
That’s the good news. The bad news is that rookie defensive lineman Derrick Harmon is out. Harmon, Pittsburgh’s first-round pick out of Oregon, is dealing with a knee injury. He has appeared in just nine games this season, compiling 22 total tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery.
It was already known that All-Pro outside linebacker T.J. Watt would miss Monday’s game. Earlier this week, the Steelers announced that Watt had been hospitalized after experiencing discomfort in his lung. Watt experienced discomfort during a treatment session at the team facility.
On Friday, Watt’s brother, famed NFL defender J.J. Watt, provided an update with some new information: “Yesterday TJ had successful surgery to stabilize and repair a partially collapsed lung suffered Wednesday after a dry needling treatment session at the facility. Recovery timeline is still TBD, but all went well and he is being released from the hospital today. He and his family are very appreciative of everyone’s kind words and well wishes.”

With Watt down, Pittsburgh will ask for more from players such as Nick Herbig and Jack Sawyer. Herbig has been effective in his role, which will expand Monday.
“I think that’s been the name of the game in my career since I’ve been here,” Herbig said. “Just being able to stay ready, never knowing when your number’s going to get called, never know when you’re going to have opportunities to help the team in a bigger role. I think that’s been my story. And I accept that. I accept my role on this team and I’m going to do whatever I can help.
