Police intervene as chaos between drivers erupt after Bowman Gray Stadium race

While the NASCAR Cup Series races in Atlanta, the madness is just unfolding at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The end of the Street Stock race had the police getting involved.
A late race photo-finish, a bit of a family feud, police intervention, and a man ripping a car apart with his own two hands. This race had it all tonight at Bowman Gray Stadium.
It looks like Zach Staley slowed down at the line to allow his son to win the race. It was a block right in front of the start-inish line. Brad Lewis was then declared the winner because of the manipulation. Emily Lewis spun Zach out after the finish for his actions. Then all Hell broke loose.
Only at the Madhouse. What a place.
By the way, this was the first race of the night at Bowman Gray Stadium. I’m sure things won’t get more intense as the night goes on and drivers see other drivers dropkicking windshields.
I can’t stop thinking about that guy ripping the hood off of the car. That is pure insanity. Who does that? Any time you see a driver sprinting across the infield to go fight, it’s exciting. You are just waiting for a tackle or another driver to collide with them, or maybe security.

When you go to Bowman Gray, you pay for more than racing. You pay for years-long family feuds and fist fights that can break out at any moment. Both on the track and in the stands.
Bowman Gray Stadium could be getting NASCAR deal
If you like what you saw from Bowman Gray Stadium in that video, just wait! NASCAR and Bowman Gray are close to securing a new, five-year deal. It would include a brand new scoreboard at the track, and at least one national series race a year for the duration of the agreement.
That means, Bowman Gray would be entitled to host a Cup, Xfinity, or Truck Series race each season for the next five years. Plus, they get another major upgrade. NASCAR hosted the Clash at the Madhouse. The preseason exhibition was seen as a great success. The track received a number of improvements as a result, too.
This deal would be great for both parties. I think a Truck Series weekend with ARCA support could be the move here. Move the Truck Series back to its short track roots. Having Bowman Gray and North Wilkesboro on the Truck schedule would bring that old-school feel.
