More details are coming out about Quinshon Judkins’ arrest on domestic violence and battery charges. According to a police report, the Cleveland Browns RB is accused of punching a woman in the mouth while they were in a car together.

The woman’s flight arrived at Fort Lauderdale International Airport July 7 and said Judkins was “showing frustration” after he read text messages from family members. She then said she tried to explain the messages weren’t true and began to stutter, and Judkins allegedly hit the woman several more times in other areas of her body, including her left arm and thigh, according to the report.

The woman also kept traveling with him and didn’t call 911 right away because she “felt bad due to the recent success and career” of Judkins as he got ready for his NFL career. After speaking with family and friends, she opted to tell police, per the report.

Judkins was arrested July 12 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., according to police records. He was released from jail Sunday after posting a $2,500 bond and the Browns said they were aware of the situation while working to “gather more information.”

CBS News Miami reported police reported a “delayed battery” and the victim stayed with Judkins for five additional days before reporting. The Fort Lauderdale Police Department also released a statement regarding the former Ole Miss and Ohio State star’s arrest, confirming the delayed battery call.

“On July 12th, at approximately 9 a.m., Fort Lauderdale Police Officers responded to the 1500 block of West Cypress Creek Road in reference to a delayed battery,” the Fort Lauderdale Police Department Media Relations statement read, via ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi. “Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the victim.

“During their preliminary investigation it was determined a battery had occurred. The officers made contact with the suspect and placed him into custody. He was transported to Broward County Main Jail. The suspect has been identified as Quinshon Judkins, DOB 10/29/2003 and has been charged with Misdemeanor Battery (Domestic) FSS 784.03-1a1.”

The Browns selected Quinshon Judkins with the No. 36 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft following a national title-winning season at Ohio State. He was pivotal in the Buckeyes winning their first national title since 2014, forming a dynamic one-two punch in the backfield with TreVeyon Henderson. Judkins totaled 1,060 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns after transferring from Ole Miss.

Judkins was one of two running backs the Browns selected in this year’s draft, along with Dylan Sampson out of Tennessee. However, Judkins has yet to sign his rookie contract with training camp quickly approaching.
