Rajah Caruth lands part-time role with JR Motorsports for 2026 O'Reilly Auto Parts Series season
JR Motorsports announced Tuesday that Rajah Caruth will run a part-time schedule in the No. 88 Chevrolet during the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season. It’s currently unknown if Caruth will continue to run a full-time schedule in the Truck Series with Spire Motorsports.
The 23-year-old has 22 starts under his belt in NASCAR’s second tier series. He has yet to score a top 10, finishing a career-best 12th in the 2022 and 2023 fall Martinsville Speedway races. Caruth made three starts this season in the Xfinity Series, finishing as high as 18th last month at Kansas Speedway.
In Trucks, Caruth has been a breakout star in 2025. He took the checkered flag at Nashville Superspeedway, his second win in Trucks. Caruth made the playoffs for the second consecutive season, and he’s in good shape to advance to the Championship 4.

Caruth heads into this Friday’s Round of 8 finale at Martinsville second in the playoff standings, 14 points above the cutline. He finished ninth this past Friday at Talladega Superspeedway, picking up more points (46) than any remaining playoff driver. Caruth felt he had a chance to win. However, he got crossed up trying to push Spire teammate Corey Lajoie on the final lap.

“I would say pretty frustrated there with how it ended, for sure,” Caruth said after the race. “I didn’t want to split Corey, it’s just I got kind of popped at the wrong time, I felt like. Still a great points day, thank you to [Rick and Linda Hendrick], everybody at Spire, Chevrolet, GM, for all that they do, not just for [me], but for all of our teammates. So, frustrated with the end, but still a great points day.”
JRM’s 2026 lineup is taking shape. Justin Allgaier will continue on in the No. 7, while Sammy Smith will be behind the wheel of the No. 8. Connor Zilisch and Carson Kvapil will split the driving duties in the No. 1 with Rodney Childers serving as crew chief.
