One of the best names in NASCAR is back full-time in 2024. Lawless Alan was signed to a deal with Reaume Brothers Racing in the No. 33 truck. After two years at Niece Motorsports, Alan is back with Reaume Bros and ready for a full schedule.

There is still a lot of unknown about Lawless Alan. He perhaps has not turned in the results that many expected, especially with Niece. Let’s not forget that Carson Hocevar was doing well in that equipment, winning multiple races and going to the Championship 4.

However, this looks to be a good pairing here. Both RBR and Alan have a lot to prove. By sticking a driver in a ride full-time, Reaume is showing that they are serious about succeeding in the Truck Series.

We will see how far these two can go together in 2024.

In the 2023 season, the 33 truck had a season-best finish of P11 at Texas. That was with Mason Massey behind the wheel. After that, it was a lot of struggle and DNQs.

Lawless Alan had a season and career-best finish of P10 at Talladega last year. He also had a pair of DNQs. Again, both parties have a lot to prove, and might just be what the other needs at this time.

Lawless Alan has to take the next step

In 23 races last season, Lawless had 10 top-20 finishes. He had a stretch in the latter half of the season where he couldn’t crack 20th place for six races in a row. Consistency is the ultimate path to staying in NASCAR, no matter the series. That’s the next step.

And that is the step that Reaume Brothers is making by putting a driver in a truck full-time. You can piece together a season with multiple drivers, but consistency behind the wheel matters as well. Believing in your driver week to week is a must, and having one invested in a whole season matters a lot.

I’m not sure what we should expect from RBR and Lawless Alan. Ideally, qualify for every race. Score multiple top-10s if possible. Above all else, avoid DNFs. For a small team, the fewer wrecked trucks, the better.

Lawless Alan is going to have another full-time season in the Craftsman Truck Series. We’ll see if he can help take Reaume Brothers Racing, and himself, to that next level.
