Can Logan Paul and Jake Paul be major champions?
In 2022, Logan made his professional wrestling debut, teaming up with The Miz at WrestleMania 38. The team defeated Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio, and Logan signed a multi-event contract with WWE later that year. In November 2023, Logan Paul defeated Rey Mysterio to win the United States Championship. He held the title for 273 days before losing it to LA Knight.
This week, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle spoke with Great Offshore Sportsbooks and was asked if he could see Logan becoming WWE Champion. “That kid is incredibly talented. I’m a big fan of his. I’ll be honest with you,” Angle said. “When he was a boxer, I hated his guts. But I get it now. I know what he was doing. He wanted me to hate him. But I love this kid. This kid is so talented. He has picked up on the business quicker than anybody in the history of the business. Including myself. I have a lot of respect for that kid. It’s amazing how he’s been able to pick up on everything that he’s accomplished, you know as a fighter, as a boxer, as a pro wrestler, as a businessman, this guy is nothing but gold and I have a lot of respect for him and I’m a big fan of his.”
As for Jake Paul, he believes he can be a boxing champion in the next two years. “I think it could happen in the next 24 months,” Paul told the Associated Press in November “I truly, truly believe in my skills and my ability and my power. And the cruiserweight division is seemingly open for the taking on that timeline.”
