OJ Simpson is undergoing treatment for cancer, according to a report from a Miami TV station. And on Friday, he used his social media account to let people know he wasn’t dying.

Local 10 News in Miami reported that doctors diagnosed Simpson with prostate cancer. The notorious former NFL star had been living in south Florida, but has since moved to Las Vegas. The TV station said Simpson is undergoing chemotherapy in Vegas.

Simpson, via a post on X, seemingly addressed the cancer report. He shared a video with the caption “Hospice???”

In the video, OJ Simpson said::

“Hey X world. Hospice? Hospice?? You talk about hospice? No, I’m not in any hospice. Whoever put that out there, I guess it’s like The Donald (Trump) say. Cant trust the media. In any event, I’m hosting a ton of friends for the Super Bowl here in Las Vegas. All is well. Take care guys, have a good Super Bowl weekend.”

OJ Simpson served nine years in prison for armed robbery

Simpson is 76. He belongs to both the college and pro football Halls of Fame. However, for the past three decades, he’s been known mostly for his alleged criminal behavior. He was charged in 1994 with the murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman. However, a Los Angeles jury acquitted him of the murder charges. There was so much interest in Simpson’s trial that people could watch the court room proceedings live on TV each day.

He served nine years in prison after a jury found him guilty of charges related to a 2007 armed robbery. Simpson and five associates went into a Vegas hotel room and robbed two sports memorabilia dealers at gun point. He said the memorabilia belonged to him, but a jury still convicted him. Simpson was released on parole in October, 2017. He was cleared from parole in December, 2021.

The New York Post reported in November that OJ Simpson was spending time in Vegas. He appeared frail and was limping in photos reviewed by the outlet.
