Everyone wanted to know what caused the fight between the pit crews of Ty Gibbs and Brad Keselowski, and RFK Racing has delivered. The NASCAR team posted video from the No. 6 team’s pit box, and it shows a pretty clear story.

I won’t be shocked if NASCAR doesn’t look at this incident. I’m honestly shocked that Ty Gibbs wasn’t penalized in the moment.

Gibbs came down to his pit box and appeared to swerve at the tire carrier for Brad Keselowski. Afterwards, the tire carrier went to Gibbs’ pit box, and that’s where the fight broke out.

Was this on purpose? Or did Gibbs buzz by too close on accident? You decide.

The timeline of events was strange. Chris Buescher got into Ty Gibbs. Then, Gibbs took his frustration out on Brad Keselowski’s pit box, or it seemed that way. So, we end up with a fight on pit road between the crew members.

Today was a frustrating race for Gibbs. He had speed but never caught the break he needed to truly race for the lead. This race was all about Shane van Gisbergen today. However, we had a lot of action behind SVG throughout the race.

A few drivers are going to leave with hurt feelings. Another group will leave wondering what more they could have done. For the drivers who trailed SVG, it was a futile effort. No adjustment, no caution, and no restart was able to give anyone an edge over the Kiwi.

Ty Gibbs still searching for first win

It feels like Ty Gibbs is doing all he can do to get that first win. Yet, he feels further away now than he did last year or even the year before. These road courses are typically tracks that we consider strong tracks for Gibbs. That was until SVG showed up on the scene.

There were a couple of late restarts in the race. Gibbs did fine in those. He held his own. Finishing P7 isn’t bad for Gibbs and this team. In fact, that’s one of the best finishes for this 54 team this season. Still, it doesn’t feel like enough when you talk about the playoffs and that first-career win.

Ty Gibbs did manage to move on to the next round of the In-Season Tournament. Four drivers remain. Gibbs will go up against Tyler Reddick at Dover. That is going to be a fun race to watch as the bracket challenge comes to an end in just a couple more weeks.
