RFK Racing trolls NASCAR after Phoenix pace car crash with hysterical video

RFK Racing had some fun during the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race as it trolled the pace car that crashed at Phoenix. The organization went to X to share a video of the crash while using a meme from the Nickelodeon show Drake & Josh. The video began with Drake and Josh in a car before crashing, and the ending showed the pace car running into the barrels on the track.
The incident happened before Stage 2 as the pace car pulled onto pit road too late. This led to NASCAR bringing out the red flag, and everyone seemed to have a good laugh about it, including Michael Jordan who was seen laughing during the broadcast.
RFK Racing seems to be enjoying the race despite none of its drivers competing for the championship. During the 2024 season, RFK driver Brad Keselowski clinched a playoff spot after winning the Darlington race in May. He was eliminated from the playoffs at the end of the Round of 16.
Chris Buescher, another RFK driver, missed out on the playoffs but earned a victory at Watkins Glen in September. It was Buescher’s first win since the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona in August 2023.

Will RFK Racing expand to three cars in 2025?
For the 2025 season, RFK Racing is hoping to add a third car to the team. In September, RFK Racing President Steve Newmark said the team is cautious about expanding over the last couple of years.
“Think we’ve been open over the last couple years. And it’s a question that we’ve obviously gotten a lot particularly based on our history. And the size that we used to be,” Newmark said on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. “There’s no doubt that Jack [Roush] always said if he could run 10 teams, he would love to do that. He obviously had five teams in the Cup Series before some of the rules changed. And Brad [Keselowski] and Jack are both very likeminded on that. The last few years we’ve actually had some opportunities to expand.
“And we’ve declined at that time because we wanted to be cautious because I think that we’ve seen some lessons out there that if we expand too quickly, sometimes the growing pains can set you backwards. We felt like we needed to establish our two-car program as elite. And one that we felt could threaten for wins every single time we showed up to the racetrack. As we go into this year, I think we started to feel that we’re not exactly where we want to be. But we had reached that point where we were running up front consistently. And have the ability to win every weekend.”
