Richard Sherman reveals armed robbers broke into house with family inside

Former NFL cornerback Richard Sherman revealed his house was robbed at gun point. He posted to Twitter/X Monday with screenshots of security footage showing masked armed robbers coming into his house.
“House being robbed at gun point with my family in it isn’t what anyone wants for a birthday gift,” Sherman wrote on Twitter. “Scary situation that my Wife handled masterfully and kept my kids safe. If anyone has any info that can help find these people please reach out.”
As Sherman wrote, everyone is safe and the former All-Pro is searching for assistance in identifying the culprits. Sherman did not confirm whether or not he was present at his house with his wife and kids.
It’s certainly been a turbulent calendar year for Sherman, who’s worked as an NFL analyst for Amazon during his post-playing days. He was arrested last year on suspicion of DUI.

According to CNN‘s reporting from the Washington State Patrol, the former cornerback was driving 79 miles per hour in a 60 miles per hour zone. Upon performing the traffic stop, the police questioned Sherman about whether he’d been drinking, at which point he told them he’d had two margaritas. He submitted to a voluntary alcohol test at the scene of the stop.
The first appearance document in Sherman’s case also noted that he had “watery and bloodshot” eyes. It also describes how the police noted an “odor of intoxicants.”
A King County District Court judge found probable cause for DUI. His bail was eventually set at $5,000.
Sherman played for 11 years in the NFL, with the majority of it coming with the Seahawks and 49ers. He was one of the best defensive backs in the league, earning All-Pro three times.
