Following a confrontational weekend in the zMAX CARS Tour Series, an unlikely partnership will debut on the car of Landon Huffman, who was involved in an on-track dust-up.

Huffman will sport a Rocket City Trash Pandas logo on his car.

Why, exactly?

Well, following an on-track incident that left driver Andrew Grady smashing into the wall at the racetrack, Grady had some choice words for Huffman.

“In the words of Denny Hamlin, Landon Huffman, you’re a hack. It’s no wonder you lost your ride with the [No.] 22 [team]. You’re an absolute trash panda, bud,” Grady said, according to Frontstretch.com.

The trash panda comment immediately made headlines around the racing world, to the point that the Rocket City Trash Pandas, a minor league club in the Los Angeles Angels organization, caught wind of it. On Tuesday, the Trash Pandas tweeted about the incident.

“[T]his professional race car driver got called a ‘trash panda’ by another driver this past weekend,” the baseball organization wrote. “[S]hould we put our logo on his car?”

A few hours later, Huffman tweeted a picture of his car’s number with a Trash Panda sticking out from between the number 5 and the number 7. Check it out below.

It’s a pretty hilarious move that will capitalize on a viral moment rather well. Of course, it’ll likely only further infuriate Grady, who was the victim of a piece of driving he was not a fan of.

The incident happened with 65 laps remaining in the CARS Tour race, when Grady was slowed by a car in front of him. As he slowed on the throttle, Huffman got into his rear and caused him to spin into the inside wall. Grady was livid.

“I don’t know, what are we doing?” Grady said. “We’re 60 laps in, we’re running for 12th. I’m already loose. For God’s sake man, I know we’re racing, I know we’ve got to go, I get it. But when you’ve got me sideways, crack the throttle. That’s a brand new race car, and now that race car is killed. But it’s OK because before he leaves, he’ll know I’m pissed.”

Grady then took a piece of equipment from his car and waited till Huffman came around him on the track, firing the equipment low into the door of Huffman as he passed by.

Huffman will get the last laugh, though, now getting a clever new logo on his car as a result of the whole incident.
