There were questions surrounding Russell Wilson‘s future with the Seattle Seahawks after last season, and some of those same questions remain entering this offseason. Wilson recently addressed his stance on his position with the Seahawks moving forward, and he gave a pretty telling answer when asked if he wants to stay in Seattle.

“Well the quarterback business is always hard to find obviously,” Wilson said when asked about his future with the Seahawks. “It’s tough to find those guys who are really special and can play for a long time. I think about guys like (Tom) Brady and (Drew) Brees, some other great ones, (Aaron) Rodgers himself and so many others. But I’ve been fortunate to be able to play ten amazing years in Seattle. So my hope and goal was to be back there and keep winning there. That’s the vision, that’s the goal, and that’s always been it and it’s never really been anything different.”

Wilson saying that he wants to continue playing for the Seahawks is welcome news for Seattle. In ten NFL seasons, Wilson has thrown for 37,059 yards with 292 touchdowns and 87 interceptions. He has also rushed for 4,689 yards with 23 touchdowns.

Wilson: ‘I want to win three more Super Bowls’

Wilson has led the Seahawks to two Super Bowl appearances, coming in consecutive seasons in Super Bowls 48 and 49. The Seahawks defeated the Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl 48, but fell to the New England Patriots in a tight 28-24 game in Super Bowl 49. For Wilson, he isn’t satisfied with one ring. He wants to keep winning, and he has a specific number of championships in mind.

“Oh yeah, to win more there, that’d be awesome,” Wilson continued. “I want to win three more Super Bowls. That’s my focus, is to get back and win it again and for us to overcome all the obstacles. There’s nothing more fun than that.”

Wilson was later asked about his thoughts on Seattle’s offensive coordinator, and Wilson said that he has full confidence in Shane Waldron.

“I think Shane Waldron’s great,” Wilson said about the Seahawks offensive coordinator. “I think he’s a really good play caller, I think he understnads the game. I’ve got great confidence in what he can do and how he calls the game. So I love Shane. He’s a mastermind, he loves putting extra work in. So it’s great.”

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of a few teams expected to explore a trade for Wilson in the offseason. But if Wilson’s comments hold true, it doesn’t appear that he is looking to go anywhere.
