Ryan Blaney rips Chris Buescher after contact into Turn 1 at Sonoma: 'Thanks a f***ing lot, d***head.'

Ryan Blaney blasted Chris Buescher after contact was made into Turn 1 at the Sonoma race. The incident occurred during Lap 61 when Buescher spun Blaney. It led to Blaney going off the track.
“Thanks a f***ing lot, d***head,” Blaney said on his radio. The good news for Blaney was that he stayed out after the incident since there was no damage to the No. 12 Ford.
The good news for Ryan Blaney is that he’s in the playoffs, as he won at Nashville earlier this year. But the hit by Chris Buescher potentially prevented him from making a run into the top 10 at Sonoma.
Overall, the 2025 season has been strong for Blaney, recording eight top-10 finishes and seven finishes in the top five. He’s looking to win his second Cup Series title after winning his first in 2023.

Can Ryan Blaney win another NASCAR Cup Series title?
After Blaney won at Nashville, NASCAR insider Jeff Gluck talked about what the victory meant for his chances at another championship. “He wins, and you could see this coming. I don’t think it’s any surprise whatsoever that Ryan Blaney went to Victory Lane. We’ve talked about him as a championship contender, but he finally finishes one off,” Gluck stated, via The Teardown. “This was set up by Jonathan Hassler’s pit call at the end of Stage One. He realized that there was going to be a need for track-position, and he noticed the tires weren’t wearing as much, and the lap times weren’t going down.”
After the Nashville race, Blaney spoke to reporters about the win. He said, “Yeah, I think it means a lot because you said it perfectly, just been pretty rocky this year and had a lot of misfortune and a lot of down times, just crappy things happening to us, and it’s like, man, what do we got to do to just finish these races or close one out and just kind of things go our way.”
