Former Alabama safety Ronnie Harrison is reportedly signing a new one-year deal in free agency to stay with the Indianapolis Colts for another season, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter. In 2023, he played in seven games, notching 20 tackles with one sack for the Colts. He also added two interceptions, one of which he returned for a score.

Harrison played his college ball under Nick Saban with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Following his time in Tuscaloosa, the defensive back was drafted in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. The Jacksonville Jaguars picked him up but dropped him after two seasons.

After Jacksonville, Harrison joined the Cleveland Browns for three seasons. Over the five seasons of his career, he’s accumulated 243 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 11 tackles for loss and seven interceptions with two touchdowns.

The Colts signed Harrison to the roster before briefly dropping him in August. He then joined the practice squad where he stayed until they put him on the active roster in November.

Through his first five seasons, Harrison has played in two playoff games, both with the Cleveland Browns. He had seven tackles with a tackle for loss in those matchups in 2020.

Colts ink Michael Pittman Jr. after initial franchise tag

The Indianapolis Colts have been busy so far in free agency. They signed Michael Pittman Jr. to a new long-term deal after initially placing him on the 2024 franchise tag. The two parties agreed to a 3-year deal worth up to $71.5M with $46M guaranteed, according to Jordan Schultz.

Through four years with the Indianapolis Colts, Pittman put up solid numbers following his rookie year. He set a career-high in catches and yards this past season.

In 2023, Pittman finished with 109 catches, 1,152 yards, four touchdowns and 10.6 yards per catch. In his career, Pittman has 336 catches, 3,662 yards, 15 touchdowns and 10.9 yards per catch.
