Saquon Barkley claims no New York fan 'ever wants to see me in a Giants uniform again'

Saquon Barkley isn’t sure if New York Giants fans would welcome him back if an opportunity came up for him to rejoin the team. While talking about his new documentary on the ManningCast, Eli Manning asked him if he would switch teams and join the Giants when the Philadelphia Eagles play against them on Oct. 9.
“I don’t think any Giants fan ever wants to see me in a Giants uniform again,” Saquon Barkley said. “You know the saying, once a Giant, always a Giant. I hope that still stays true for me.”
Barkley signed a three-year contract with the Eagles last year after spending six seasons with the Giants. In his first season with the Eagles, the 28-year-old rushed for a career-high 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was named NFL Offensive Player of the Year and helped the Eagles win the Super Bowl.
Barkley’s new documentary is called Saquon and will debut on Prime Video on Oct. 9. “The beauty of this doc is the growth of the last five years from my injury up to going to Philly and winning a Super Bowl,” he said. “It shows the trials and tribulations and all the work that I put in to get back into it. But it also shows the love and support that I have for the Giants organization.”

Saquon Barkley had a tough knee injury while playing for the Giants
In 2020, Saquon Barkley played in just two games after suffering a season-ending knee injury. The following year, Barkley played in 13 games but rushed for just 593 yards on 162 carries. He continued to work and be productive the next two seasons, but had a historic career with the Eagles.
In March of this year, Barkley signed a two-year, $41.2 million contract extension. He is now under contract with the Eagles through the 2028 season.
“That’s the reason why I wanted to come here,” Barkley said at the time. “It’s cool, signing the extension, having the yards, the record year or whatever happened last year. But you can’t do it without everybody else. You can’t do it without your teammates. This organization knows how to continue to bring in great people and have great guys on this team, and I’m just happy to be a part of it. The things that I envision in the future, I feel like being here is the best place for it.”
