Scott Hanson cuts hand 'pounding the desk on Gold Zone' while Team USA competed for medal

It’s safe to say that broadcaster Scott Hanson is fired up with the way Team USA is performing at the Olympics in Paris.
Hanson, who is hosting a “Gold Zone” show on Peacock, posted a photo of himself with a cut across his hand during Monday’s action. He took to Twitter to explain what happened.
“I was pounding the desk on Gold Zone when Team USA was winning a medal. I’m designated ‘likely’ to return,” Scott Hanson posted on Twitter. You can check out the photo from Hanson below:
Scott Hanson is hosting an Olympics show in Paris, flipping around to different action.
He will resume his role for the NFL season soon. Hanson didn’t specify which event he hurt his hand on, but there are plenty of options. Monday has been a big day for Team USA thus far.
The Americans have won several medals, including in swimming, men’s gymnastics and skateboarding. The medal that men’s gymnastics won was its first medal since 2008. Team USA took home the bronze.

Gold Zone is streaming live on Peacock from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day throughout the Olympic games. NBC sent out a press release ahead of the Olympics sharing what to expect.

“With up to 40 events happening simultaneously during the Paris Olympic Games, Gold Zone will present viewers with the best and most compelling moments happening at any time,” NBC shared in a press release. “The daily live show will guide fans through the excitement, triumphs, and emotion of the Games, scanning all the events that day to provide viewers with the most exhilarating moments and key races, routines, and finishes as they unfold live.
“Gold Zone’s daily offering will provide viewers with the most comprehensive and all-encompassing live whip-around coverage of any Olympic Games to date.”
Andrew Siciliano previously hosted NBC’s live Gold Zone coverage during the 2014 Sochi Winter Games and the 2016 Rio Olympics. Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila are currently co-hosts of NBC’s American Ninja Warrior. It’s the duo’s third and second times covering the Olympics, respectively. The various hosts of Peacock’s Gold Zone are also bringing on special guests throughout their daily coverage.
The Olympics got underway on Friday, July 26. They will continue into mid-August, with the games ending on Sunday, Aug. 11. The United States of America has 20 medals thus far, which leads all countries. Japan has the most gold medals with six.
