WATCH: Controversial no-call ends Seahawks' last hope against Rams

The Seattle Seahawks came so close to upsetting the Los Angeles Rams in SoFi Stadium, but a critical no-call by the referees ultimately spoiled the Seahawks’ second to last drive of the game.
The Seahawks trailed the Rams just 17-10 with just over five minutes left to play on Tuesday, and Seattle received favorable field position on a punt. Russell Wilson took over from the Seahawks’ own 46-yard line, but a few plays later, the Seahawks found themselves setting up for a fourth-and-five on their own 49-yard line. Needing five yards to potentially extend the drive, Wilson dropped back in the pocket and threw to running back DeeJay Dallas — and Dallas had a Rams defender, Samson Ebukam, draped over him. In fact, Ebukam appears to have made illegal contact with Dallas, potentially a missed pass interference call, which caused drive to end in turnover on downs for the Seahawks.
Wilson proceeded to throw an interception on the next drive after the Seahawks got the ball back down 10 points, effectively ending the game. The Rams made one more field goal on their final possession, extending the lead to 20-10, and Los Angeles went on to pick up a win at home. Had Ebukam been flagged for pass interference, however, Dallas and the Seahawks would have had the chance to extend their drive once more and punch in the game-tying touchdown.

Wilson had far from a perfect day at the helm of the Seahawks offense, as he completed 17 of his 31 passing attempts and added an interception. Dallas and Rashaad Penny carried the bulk of the Seahawks offense, combining for a relatively inefficient 80 yards on 19 carries, and Dallas scored the Seahawks’ only offensive touchdown.
The Rams, on the other hand, had an evenly-spread offensive attack, as has become commonplace for the 10-4 Los Angeles team. Matt Stafford completed 21 of his 29 passing attempts for 244 passing yards, two touchdowns and an interception, and Sony Michel and Darrell Henderson split the backfield duties. Michel had 18 carries for 92 yards, while Henderson had six carries for 23 yards. Cooper Kupp, one of the NFL’s biggest breakout stars of the year, had yet another terrific game alongside Stafford, as he reeled in nine catches for 136 passing ayrds and two touchdowns, leading all Rams receivers by plenty.
