Sheldon Creed fumes at inexperienced drivers in Xfinity Series after wrecking at Texas

The NASCAR Xfinity Series brought the show to Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday, and it’s been a rough showing for the wheelmen in The Lone Star State. There’s been an abundance of yellow flags throughout the race thus far, and the latest one saw Sheldon Creed’s afternoon go up in smoke.
As the laps ticked away, Creed made contact with Corey Day, who’s riding in the No. 17 for Hendrick Motorsports on Saturday. The 19-year-old Day sent Creed for a ride, as the 27-year-old made contact with Austin Hill and hit the inside wall. Check out a video of the incident below, shared to X by Xfinity Racing.
In the time afterwards, Creed was hopping mad: “I’m tired of this shit,” Creed said via his radio, per Dalton Hopkins of Frontstretch. The No. 00 wheelman added: “F*** yeah! F*** yes! I’m so tired of inexperience taking us out of this shit,” per Toby Christie of Racing America.
Considering this is Day’s second start in the Xfinity Series of his career, it isn’t hard to discern who Creed is speaking about. Evidently, the Hendrick Motorsports wheelman didn’t make a friend in the Haas Factory Team driver in Texas. He’ll have some apologizing to do, at least in Creed’s eyes.

Hendrick believes they have something in the 19-year-old prospect, but it’s been a rough start to his Xfinity Series career. His only other start was at Martinsville, where Day finished P21. He’s raced five times in the Truck Series for Spire Motorsports in 2025, his best finish being P15 twice this year, at Homestead-Miami and Bristol.
Meanwhile, Creed has become a mainstay in the Xfinity Series, impressing at times. However, he’s still looking for the first win since joining the circuit. He’s made it to Victory Lane eight times in the Truck Series, but he’s still yet to take the checkered flag in NASCAR’s second-best circuit.
Time will tell what the future holds for Sheldon Creed and Corey Day, but they’re not on each other’s good-sides this afternoon. Some fences will have to be mended over some Texas barbecue.
