South Carolina at Missouri odds: Early point spread updated, How to Watch

On Saturday, South Carolina and Missouri will square off inside the Tigers’ Memorial Stadium. While the Gamecocks are coming off a showdown against Vanderbilt in Week 3, this game will be Missouri’s first SEC bout of the 2025 campaign.
If the game plays out anything like the meeting between the two teams last year, fans can expect fireworks. South Carolina narrowly defeated Missouri 34-30 last season. Evidently, oddsmakers expect another competitive contest between the Tigers and Gamecocks.
According to BetMGM, Missouri is a 13-point favorite over South Carolina. Additionally, the over/under for the game is set at 46.5 points. For reference, South Carolina is averaging 23 points per game while Missouri is averaging 51.7.
Quarterback play will be key in the highly-anticipated SEC matchup. Quarterback LaNorris Sellers leads the charge for the Gamecocks this season. He was voted the preseason All-SEC First-Team quarterback by the league’s media.
Of course, a quarterback is only as good as his targets. Thankfully for Sellers, he has receiver Nyck Harbor tracking down balls out wide. Harbor is one of the best athletes in the country and has only looked better this season after stepping away from South Carolina’s track and field team this spring to solely focus on football.
To pile on, punt returner Vicari Swain is a legitimate scoring threat. He racked up three punt return touchdowns in South Carolina’s first two games, tying the program’s single-season record. Missouri will have to be locked in on all facets of the game to down the Gamecocks.
Of course, Missouri hasn’t given fans any reason to doubt them so far. Kansas is the only Power Four opponent Missouri has played thus far this season, and the Tigers won, 42-31.
In the victory, Mizzou QB Beau Pribula shined, completing 30-of-his-39 pass attempts for 334 yards and three touchdowns, without throwing an interception. As usual, Kevin Coleman Jr. was Pribula’s go-to target.
Coleman finished the “Border War” with a game-high 126 receiving yards and a touchdown on 10 catches. Missouri will need its defense to hold up its end of the bargain against South Carolina. Nonetheless, the unit looked much improved against an admittedly inferior opponent in Louisiana this past weekend.

Although South Carolina won the last meeting between the two programs, history isn’t on the Gamecocks’ side. Mizzou boasts an 8-6 all-time record against South Carolina.
Moreover, the Tigers have won five of their last six showdowns against the Gamecocks. Missouri will look to build on that trend on Saturday when it hosts South Carolina.
