For the first time since 2019, Stewart Friesen wins the pole award ahead of the Rackley Roofing 200 in a great effort from the 52. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series veteran will lead the field to green tonight.

There were multiple issues during the qualifying session. Tanner Gray and Nick Sanchez both found themselves into the wall during their qualifying sessions. There were other drivers who had issues and didn’t make a lap attempt at all.

In the end, Stewart Friesen topped the board. The 40-year-old driver has hit a hot streak lately, finishing P10, P2, and P8 in the last three races. Something is hitting at Halmar Friesen Racing.

This is a big deal for Stewart Friesen and his team. The fourth career pole of his career comes at a great time. His group is clearly building momentum and looking forward to putting up another strong result.

Full results from qualifying:

Friesen is 11th overall in points. He has had a solid season, mostly fueled by the last few weeks of the season. He has come on strong but still needs to run up front more frequently.

In three previous starts at Nashville Superspeedway, Stewart Friesen has finished P5 twice and was P18 a year ago in this race. He is fairly strong at this track and that showed in qualifying. Now he has to go out and do it in the race.

Stewart Friesen hoping to hold off talented field

The next goal for Friesen now that the pole is locked up is win. Friesen has not won since 2022 and he and his team are hungry at the moment. However, there is a lot of talent in this Truck Series field. It will be easier said than done.

We are not just talking about the regular drivers like Corey Heim, Christian Eckes, Grant Enfinger, Rajah Caruth, and others. Clint Bowyer and Brenden “Butterbean” Queen are in the race as well. That only adds to the pressure on Friesen.

Talent is constantly coming into the field. Drivers are testing NASCAR out more than ever it feels like. Not just from other stock car series, grassroots series, but elsewhere. This time around, it is a retired Cup Series talent in Bowyer and a very talented Late Model Stock driver in Queen.

Stewart Friesen won the pole. Now his job gets even tougher. Will we see another strong performance out of the No. 52 truck?
