Two 1-1 squads will look to enter Week 4 with a winning record as the Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Las Vegas Raiders for Week 3’s edition of Sunday Night Football.

The Steelers are coming fresh off of a gritty, Monday Night Football win over one of their divisional rivals the Cleveland Browns, defeating them 26-22. Pittsburgh’s defense nearly served as their offense in their latest matchup, with Alex Highsmith starting off the game with an interception returned for a touchdown and ended it by forcing a fumble that TJ Watt scooped and scored for the team’s go-ahead touchdown to secure the win.

Las Vegas on the other hand most recently fell to the Buffalo Bills, suffering a crushing 38-10 loss on the road in Orchard Park. The league’s leader from a season ago Josh Jacobs had a disappointing day on the ground with nine carries and negative yardage on the day with -2 yards on the ground, but their other Pro Bowler Davante Adams still delivered six catches for 84 yards and a score.

Health as always will be a key factor in Sunday Night’s matchup, and ahead of the game, both teams announced their inactives ahead of their primetime showdown which can be seen below.

More on the matchup

Both offenses will be looking to generate some new momentum in this matchup, as they both rank as two of the bottom three offenses in the NFL in yards per game through two weeks of the season.

Quarterback Kenny Pickett was expected to take a jump in his second season as the Steelers and has gotten off to a slow start this season completing 60.5% of his passes for 454 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions so far this season.

He hasn’t been getting much help from the Steelers rushing attack, which ranks 31st in the league with just 48 yards per game, but he did get help from wide receiver George Pickens last game who hauled in four catches for 127 yards and a score touchdown versus the Browns.

The Raiders signed quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to a three-year, $67.5 million contract this offseason and he will be looking to lead Las Vegas to a win in his home debut at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday night.

Las Vegas will be looking to get running back Josh Jacobs going in this one, who rushed for just 46 yards on 28 carries after leading the NFL with 1,653 yards last season. Their offense as a whole is currently tied with three other teams for least points scored per game this season with just 13.5, and will definitely be looking to turn things around against one of the league’s most feared defenses so far this season.
