Taron Johnson injury: Bills CB goes down after scary head-to-head contact vs. Broncos

Buffalo Bills cornerback Taron Johnson exited Sunday’s AFC Wild Card Round game against the Denver Broncos in the first quarter after making head-to-head contact with Broncos running back Javonte Williams.
Johnson walked off the field under his own power and went into the blue medical tent. Johnson cleared concussion protocol but is questionable to return with a neck injury.
The 28-year-old is one the better slot cornerbacks in the NFL and a huge part of Buffalo’s defense. Johnson suited up in 12 games this season. He recorded 65 tackles (42 solo), two interceptions, a pick sick, one sack and five passes defended. Johnson earned second-team All-Pro honors in 2023, the first year the position was recognized by the AP.
