Taylor Swift New Heights debut suffers 'glitch' late in premiere, 'breaks internet'

As Taylor Swift’s appearance with Travis and Jason Kelce started to wrap, the premiere suffered a “glitch,” according to the New Heights social media page. The feed cut out after more than an hour before it “broke the internet” as more than 1.3 million people watched live.
Swift had just unveiled her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, during the “New News” segment of the show. She was discussing the story behind it and how she wrote it during her Eras Tour last year when the stream stopped.
It turns out, the podcast wasn’t over. There was a “glitch,” and the New Heights social media team joked fans literally “broke the internet” – meaning Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark’s prediction from Wednesday afternoon came true. It’s unclear when exactly the show will post in full on YouTube with the rest of the episode, but the full podcast is available on Spotify.
Swift’s long-awaited appearance on New Heights marked her podcast debut as she joined her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, to announce her next album. The Life of a Showgirl will release Oct. 3, and Swift also unveiled the tracklist.
The four-time Album of the Year winner also shared more details about how she and Kelce wound up meeting after the two failed to connect at a concert. Kelce famously attended a show at Arrowhead Stadium and said he brought a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, but didn’t get the chance to meet Swift.

As it turns out, she still has not seen the original bracelet. But she certainly saw the video when Kelce took to his podcast to share how much he wanted to meet Taylor Swift that night.
“He threw a man-tantrum,” Swift said. “It’s so funny. … It was such a wild, romantic gesture to just be like, ‘I want to date you!’ At first when I looked at it, I was like, ‘This dude didn’t get a meet-and-greet and he’s making it everyone’s problem.’ That’s what I thought at first. You realize, he didn’t even reach out to our management. When this podcast came out, I was like, did he ever reach out to be in the tents or did we know he was in the building?
“He came with Pat [Mahomes], and he thought that because he knows the elevator lady, that he could talk to her about getting down to my dressing room. … That’s how it works in 1973. But yeah, he really just was like, ‘I know a guy. I can figure this out.’”
