Sonic has recruited Terry Crews and football players from Texas and Texas A&M for a new ad campaign. The video features Crews at his acting school teaching Texas players Colin Simmons, Ryan Wingo and Michael Taaffe, and Texas A&M players Marcel Reed and Rueben Owens.

Crews, who played college football at Western Michigan and spent time in the NFL, was asked what the best part of working with the Texas and Texas A&M players was. “The best part? Seeing these guys let their guard down and enjoy the process,” Crews said in a quote to On3. “They came in hungry, and getting to watch them grow and loosen up in front of the camera – that’s the kind of fun that sticks with you. Whether it was nailing a line or cracking up between takes, it reminded me why I love acting and football.”

This is Sonic’s first venture into the NIL space. In the video, Crews leads the players through different acting exercises at the “Terry Crews School of Acting for Athletes.” Crews and student athletes also use the Soinc Smasher in one of the exercises, learning how to hold the burger and taking a bite into it.
