Historically, these two programs have played often for having been in separate conferences for much of their existence. Saturday will feature the 60th meeting between the two squads, a series which LSU leads 35-21-3 all time.

While LSU has the edge by over a dozen games, the Tigers and Aggies have split the last eight matchups since 2017. However, the Tigers won every meeting between 2010 and 2017.

Last year’s matchup, played in College Station, went in favor of the Aggies, 38-23. Texas A&M trailed LSU 17-7 at halftime, but would come back in a big way by scored 31 points in the second half, including 17 points in the fourth quarter.

Tigers QB Garrett Nussmeier threw 50 passes during the matchup, passing for over 400 yards during the contest. For Texas A&M, Marcel Reed and Conner Weigman spit time under center and combined for 134 passing yards. However, the Aggies added 271 rushing yards on the ground with five touchdowns to boot to help aid their winning effort.
