Texas A&M and South Carolina are set to kickoff November with a great matchup in the SEC and the odds are officially in!

Texas A&M comes in after a 38-23 win over LSU. Meanwhile, South Carolina had a bye week following a 35-9 win over Oklahoma on October 19th.

According to FanDuel, Texas A&M opened up as a 5.5 point favorite in this one. The total for the game was set at 46.5 points.

If you want to bet the moneyline, Texas A&M was listed as a -196 favorite while South Carolina is at +162.

Before Texas A&M, Shane Beamer and South Carolina had an “extra special” win over Oklahoma. The head coach got a win over his old school which he admitted got him going.

“I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t extra special coming back to a place that I have so many amazing memories at, personally,” Beamer said postgame. “The time I came here, you know, not to get sappy as a dad, but we moved here and we had a, I guess, what year was that? So we had a nine year old daughter and a young son when we moved here, and now that nine year old daughter is driving and taking the PSAT, and the son is criticizing coaching decisions and things like that. 

“So I think back to them how little they were when we were here, and the great memories we had, without a doubt, and just really grateful and appreciative for my time here. There’s so many awesome people here in Oklahoma.”

Texas A&M, meanwhile, was even hotter than South Carolina. Before their game against LSU, the Aggies won six games in a row following a season opening loss to Notre Dame.

The narrative surrounding the Aggies was that they couldn’t get over the hump with Jimbo Fisher. Mike Elko, who came in from Duke, was a noted program builder.

But the buzz quickly subsided after the loss to the Fighting Irish. Since then, Texas A&M was a real player while South Carolina played some quality games and earned a big time win.

Heck, this might be an entirely different conversation if South Carolina was able to beat Alabama the week prior.
