On Saturday afternoon/evening Texas will try to even up its Big 12 record while Kansas continues its chase after Houston and Iowa State for first place in the conference.

The Longhorns enter the game coming off a victory against Kansas State and are pretty even players in the conference at 6-7 while having won three of their last six. Meanwhile, Kansas is just 4-3 in their last seven but have an 8-5 record overall in league play.

So, with these two Big 12 powers meeting up, take a look at all of the relevant info below — point spreads, TV channel, tip time and final score predictions:

Odds for Texas vs. Kansas

FanDuel line: Kansas -8.5 points
FanDuel over/under: 144.5 points

With the Jayhawks at home against a middling Texas team, Kansas was the obvious pick as the favorite and do get the nod by nearly nine points. Bill Self’s group has struggled immensely on the road this season, especially in conference play, but they’ve had little to no issue winning home games and are undefeated in Phog Allen Fieldhouse so far this season. FanDuel calls for that to continue.

Final Score Predictions

KenPom final score: Kansas 75, Texas 70
KenPom win probability: Kansas 69%

KenPom is the least bullish of the three predictive models when it comes to Kansas. His metrics believe the Jayhawks will win but by no means is that a guarantee with a 30% chance of a loss and just a five-point predicted margin of victory.

BPI predicted winner: Kansas by 6.4 points
BPI win probability: Kansas 73%
BPI matchup quality: 85.7 (9th best of the day)

ESPN’s Basketball Power Index (BPI) falls in between KenPom and the FanDuel line, projecting a Kansas win by 6.4 points with nearly a three-quarters chance of that occurring. The BPI also likes this game and has it as the ninth-best of a loaded college hoops Saturday.

Longhorns vs. Jayhawks in one of America’s best basketball venues. Everyone seems to like Kansas at home in this one while Texas could really use such a resume-booster to secure their spot in the NCAA Tournament. The committee certainly likes above-.500 conference records rather than losing ones.
