The CW will be the home of the NASCAR Xfinity Series moving forward, and they’re debuting a new graphics packaged this weekend at Daytona International Speedway.

Adam Stern of the Sports-Business Journal shared the news on social media, relaying that the new graphics package is highlighted by a horizontal bumper on the bottom of the screen, rather than a vertical pylon on the side. Evidently, the channel believes this concept will work better, as more consumers regularly own wide-screen TVs.

Check out the mock-up of the horizontal bumper and how NASCAR on The CW will look below, as Stern posted it with his report on X.

In addition to a brand new graphics package, The CW has shown they’re taking their addition of the NASCAR Xfinity Series very seriously. Their broadcast will be filled with new and old faces, and overall, a very young booth.

Adam Alexander, Jamie McMurray, and Parker Kligerman will make up the broadcast booth. That’s an excellent trio. Alexander is underrated and one of the best in the business, McMurray is always fantastic at analyzing races and making it easy for fans at home to understand, and Kligerman, fresh off his retirement, is entering a role in which he will excel. Now that he’s not a pit reporter, his weatherman days may be done as well.

Alongside those talents will be Dillon Welch and Kim Coon on pit road. In addition to the in-race team, Carla Gebhart will be the studio host for an all-new show. NASCAR Countdown Live will air before Xfinity Series races on The CW.

The addition of a prerace show is a strong move from The CW. These broadcast talents, from the booth to pit road and the studio, are all fantastic. When the Xfinity Series moved to The CW, the network made it clear that the series would anchor their sports programming.

It is nice to see, at a time when FOX and NBC appear to be fine doing business as usual, that one network partner is making a serious push to promote the sport. Having the Xfinity Series available over the air is going to help the sport grow.

It all kicks off this Saturday, as the Xfinity Series will get their season underway in the United Rentals 300 at 5:00 p.m. ET. It’s always one of the more exciting races of the year, and with The CW carrying it for the first time, expect plenty of fireworks.
