Tiger Woods says he can win The Masters 'if everything comes together'

It’s Masters week, and Tigers Woods is confident he can win the tournament for the sixth time in his career. While speaking to reporters on Tuesday morning, the golf superstar revealed how he can win the Masters this weekend.
‘If everything comes together… I think I can get one more (green jacket),” Woods revealed.
Woods went on to talk about what the impact the Masters has had on his career. “This tournament has meant so much to me in my life and my family,” he said. “I think I’ve been playing here for 29 years. It was the ultimate to stay in the crow’s nest. …To have won here as my first major as a pro, hugging my dad as you saw and then full circle in [2019] and hug my son. It has meant a lot to my family and has meant a lot to me. I always want to keep playing this.”
Will Tiger Woods finish the 2024 Masters
Woods is looking to have a stronger performance at the Masters this year than he had in 2023. The 48-year-old withdrew from The Masters last year due to a plantar fasciitis injury. In 2022, Woods finished 47th in the Masters and did not play in 2021 due to the car accident he was involved in earlier in the year.

Since returning to golf after the accident, Woods has withdrawn or missed the cut in four of his six starts. “For the past couple months, he’s been trying to find a way to recover,” NBC Sports golf analyst Notah Begay III said in a conference call, per ESPN. “He can play the golf. We always knew the question was going to be ‘Can he walk the 72 [holes]?’ That’s still up in the air. But can he recover from one round to the next? That’s the biggest question that I really don’t know, and he’s not going to know either until he gets out there and figures out whether the way he’s prepared for this year’s Masters is going to work for him.”
Woods’ 2019 Masters win was the last major he won in his career. The last tournament Woods won happened later that year when he placed first in the Zozo Championship. Woods’ last top-20 finish on the PGA Tour came in 2020 when he tied for ninth in the 2020 Farmers Insurance Open.
