Former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow and his wife, Demi-Leigh Tebow, hosted a gender reveal for family and friends on Wednesday, then shared their announcement with the world.

The Tebows will be having a baby girl. The family revealed it creatively.

Both Tim Tebow and Demi-Leigh were blindfolded and began painting a canvas on an easel. The film shot in grayscale, meaning even the viewers couldn’t see what color it was.

Then, as Tebow and his wife removed the blindfolds, the color on the camera kicked in, revealing a large pink square. It’s a girl!

Fans hoping for a boy that might have Tim Tebow’s legendary strength and athleticism will have to wait at this point. But it’s a tremendously joyous moment for the happy couple, now five years into their marriage.

Tim Tebow originally announced his engagement to Miss Universe 2017 and South African model Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters on Jan. 10, 2019. The couple was married a year later, on Jan. 20, 2020.

More on Tim Tebow’s career

Now in sports broadcasting, Tim Tebow had a legendary career in college football. He followed that up with a short stint in the NFL after the Denver Broncos selected him in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

But Tebow’s days with the Florida Gators were the stuff of legend.

Tebow became the first sophomore to ever win the Heisman Trophy when he did so in 2007. He did it in a season sandwiched by national championships he helped power the Gators to.

During his Heisman Trophy season, Tim Tebow threw for 3,286 yards and 32 touchdowns, against just six interceptions. He also ran for 895 yards and 23 scores.

In total across a four-year career at Florida, Tebow logged 9,286 yards passing and 88 touchdowns, against 16 interceptions. He also ran for 2,947 yards and 57 touchdowns.

His time in the NFL had its highlights — including a playoff win with the Broncos — but didn’t last very long.

His time in Denver came to an end after the team signed Peyton Manning in free agency in 2012. Tebow was traded to the New York Jets shortly after and didn’t have much of an impact. He bounced around a bit but ultimately saw his last look at quarterback in 2015 with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Tim Tebow did attempt a brief comeback in the NFL at tight end for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021, but he was cut during the preseason.
