Report: TNT NHL analyst Paul Bissonnette assaulted by six men at restaurant

NHL on TNT analyst Paul Bissonnette was assaulted by six men at a Scottsdale, Arizona, restaurant Sunday night, per a report from Jessica Johnson of FOX 10.
The incident occurred after Bissonnette attempted to deescalate an altercation involving the six men and restaurant management.
“There was an altercation inside the restaurant with six adult men and the management,” Scottsdale Police Sgt. Allison Sempsis said. “Reportedly, Paul Bissonnette tried to help management calm the men and get them to leave. The situation escalated to the men assaulting Paul Bissonnette both inside and outside of the restaurant.”
All six men were arrested. They are accused of assault and disorderly conduct. Bissonnette, 39, was taken to the hospital for evaluation. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, Scottsdale Police said.

Paul Bissonnette assaulted, says he’s OK
Barstool Sports founder and owner Dave Portnoy shared a brief text exchange with Bissonnette, where the former NHL‘er confirmed he was OK.
“Ya,” Bissonnette said when asked if he was OK. “Took some but gave more. 7 guys.”
In addition to his TNT duties, Bissonnette co-hosts the popular “Spittin’ Chiclets” podcast alongside former NHL defenseman Ryan Whitney and Brian “Rear Admiral” McGonagle.
Before entering the sports media landscape, Bissonnette played six seasons in the NHL, five coming with the then Phoenix Coyotes. He logged 202 games, recording seven goals and 15 assists for 22 points. Bissonnette tallied 367 hits and fought in 69 fights in the preseason and regular season combined.
